Two Davis men were arrested in separate domestic violence incidents on Friday and Saturday, Davis police reported.

In the first, Jonathan Ramirez, 23, was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking a resident at the Alhambra Apartments at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Davis police Cpl. Michael Moore said a resident knocked on a neighbor’s door after he heard noise of an argument coming from the apartment. Ramirez opened the door and allegedly attacked the man in the doorway before police arrived. They arrested Ramirez and booked him into Yolo County Jail.

The following day, Nicholas Figueroa, 29, of Davis was arrested at 2 a.m. on charges of domestic battery and abuse.

Police arrived at the University Lodge hotel at 123 B St. after receiving a call from a young girl distressed that her parents were pushing each other, Moore said.

After arriving on the scene, the mother notified police that she had been assaulted on the mouth and the knee by her partner, Moore said. The woman refused medical attention.

The couple have been in a dating relationship for 12 years, Moore said. The man was arrested and booked into Yolo County Jail.
