An undercover operation by the Davis Police Department led to the arrests of four Woodland men on drug and conspiracy charges earlier this week, authorities said.
Lt. Paul Doroshov said the operation, which involved the alleged sale of psilocybin — or hallucinogenic — mushrooms, was conducted outside a West Davis gas station at about 10 p.m. Wednesday based on information received by police detectives.
Arrested were Miguel Estrada, 23; Mohammad Hamed Jamshed, 20; Jose Dejesus Moraibarra, 18; and Joseph David Richardson, 19. All four were lodged at the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of conspiracy and transportation of a controlled substance for sales, Doroshov said.
