A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries Monday after colliding with a car near downtown Davis, police and fire officials said.
The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Sixth and G streets, causing the motorcyclist — identified as Davis resident John Ditomaso — to be thrown from his motorcycle, Davis police Lt. Glenn Glasgow said. He was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento
The driver of the car, Susan Dooley of Davis, was not hurt in the collision, the cause of which remains under investigation, Glasgow said.
