Davis police have released a sketch of the suspect in a Nov. 19 sexual-assault attempt in South Davis.
The attack occurred at about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Mace Boulevard and El Macero Drive, where the male suspect grabbed a woman around the waist with one arm, covered her mouth with his hand and tried to drag her toward the lawn of a nearby residence. The woman was able to free herself after a brief struggle, and the suspect ran away.
Police describe the assailant as a white or Latino male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-foot-11 or 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with an unshaven face. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and denim jeans.
Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call Davis Police Detective Ron Trn at 530-747-5436.
Police don’t believe the incident is related to two other sexual-assault attempts that occurred Oct. 28 in the 600 block of Alvarado Avenue in North Davis or Nov. 24 in the 200 block of D Street.
