A prosecutor resigned last month from the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office following his October arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence in Solano County.

Sulaiman Tokhi, who had worked for the DA’s Office since July 2006, was arrested Oct. 19 following a 2:10 a.m. traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield, according to Solano CHP Officer Darwin Lee.

Tokhi resolved the case at his Nov. 8 arraignment, entering a plea to a reduced “wet reckless” charge that resulted in probation, payment of a $953 fine and his enrollment in a 12-hour alcohol education course, according to online court records.

He also resigned from his deputy district attorney position effective Nov. 16, Yolo County spokeswoman Beth Gabor said.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Raven declined further comment on the matter this week.

Tokhi “has resigned from our office, and we can’t comment more than that because it’s a personnel issue,” Raven said.
