A federal grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday against Raul Gonzalez, 40, of Woodland, charging him with production of child pornography, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced.
According to court documents, Gonzalez had a minor engage in sexually explicit conduct and produced a visual depiction of such conduct on Oct. 13 in an unidentified location in Yolo County.
Gonzalez was arrested on Nov. 6 and made his initial appearance the following day, when U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn K. Delaney detained him as both a flight risk and danger to the community, Wagner said. His arraignment was set for Thursday.
If convicted, Gonzalez faces a maximum sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to Wagner.
