A construction worker was injured by a dump truck Tuesday at a work site southeast of the Davis city limits, the Davis Fire Department reported.
Division Chief Bruce Fry said emergency personnel received a 911 call at about 12:15 p.m., reporting an accident at the rural construction area on County Road 104 south of County Road 38A, where a crew was exploring the location of underground utilities.
The worker, a man in his mid-40s, apparently had been hit by the dump truck as it was transferring materials into a hole on the site, according to Fry.
Fire and ambulance personnel arrived to find the worker suffering from possible head and neck injuries. He was transported by CALSTAR helicopter to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
