A Davis man arrested on an outstanding warrant Monday had ammunition inside his vehicle, according to the Davis Police Department.

Joseph Muzio, 33, was stopped shortly before 2:30 p.m. near Fifth and B streets, where officers learned he was driving on a suspended license and had an outstanding felony warrant out of Solano County, Lt. Glenn Glasgow said.

During the course of the investigation, officers discovered ammunition in the vehicle, which Muzio is prohibited from possessing, Glasgow said.

Muzio was booked into the Yolo County Jail on the warrant as well as on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition, providing false information to a peace officer, false impersonation, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.

A passenger in the vehicle was released from the scene, Glasgow said.
