A Davis woman was convicted of assault and hit-and-run charges last week for striking her boyfriend with a car back in 2011, the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Elena Lund-Tessler, 34, faces anywhere from probation to four years, eight months in prison at her sentencing hearing, set for Nov. 5 before Yolo Superior Court Judge Timothy Fall. She also is expected to lose her driving privileges in California.

Lund-Tessler’s attorney, J. Toney, could not be reached for comment.

Prosecutors said Lund-Tessler was in a dating relationship with the victim at the time of the June 4, 2011, incident, which occurred outside the victim’s Woodland home after the couple got into an argument.

According to police accounts, the victim had gotten out of the car and was walking toward his house when Lund-Tessler drove over his foot, then made a U-turn and drove toward the victim a second time before fleeing the scene. Lund-Tessler later turned herself in to Davis police.

A Yolo County jury convicted Lund-Tessler of assault with a deadly weapon and hit and run causing injury following her trial last week.
