Davis and UC Davis fire crews responded to a 10-acre grass fire Wednesday morning on the UCD campus.
The fire began at about 8:40 a.m. along Putah Creek south of the West Village campus housing development, said Bruce Fry, division chief for the Davis Fire Department. Four engines and a water tender responded to the scene.
No structures were threatened by the fire or any injuries reported, Fry said. The cause is under investigation.
