Davis police arrested a man on drug- and weapon-related charges Saturday after he reportedly fell asleep in a restaurant drive-through lane.
Officers made contact with 32-year-old Brian Warner at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday at the In-N-Out Burger restaurant on Olive Drive, where witnesses reported he had fallen asleep at the wheel while waiting for his order, Lt. Art Camacho said.
“It was suspected that Warner was under the influence, and he was placed under arrest,” Camacho said. Officers also reported finding heroin and methamphetamine in a concealed waist belt, as well as a 12-gauge shotgun and shell in Warner’s car, both of which he was prohibited from possessing.
Warner, a Davis resident, was booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of DUI and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, Camacho said.
