Davis police say a man fought off a store employee who tried to stop him from shoplifting Saturday, putting him on the hook for possible robbery charges.
According to Lt. Art Camacho, the man allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol from the Save Mart store at Anderson Road and West Covell Boulevard, then shoved a worker who confronted him.
Police were called to the scene at about 10:45 a.m. and found the man nearby. Rogelio Aragon, 44, a transient, was arrested and booked into the Yolo County Jail on a robbery charge, Camacho said.
