A motorist was injured Sunday night after their vehicle left a Davis city street and crashed on the UC Davis campus, according to UCD officials.
Campus spokesman Andy Fell said the driver was traveling southbound on Sycamore Lane, crossed Russell Boulevard and went through an area of university-owned storage units, where it struck a tree. The tree was then knocked over onto a parked car. The collision occurred at about 9:15 p.m.
The driver was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, and no other injuries were reported, Fell said. The crash remains under investigation.
