A 32-year-old Davis resident was placed on a mental health hold following a domestic violence incident Friday evening on Glide Drive in South Davis.
Misty Hiner had gotten into a dispute with her wife, according to Davis police Sgt. Dan Powell, and had followed her wife to a neighbor’s home where she pinned her against a wall by her neck.
The neighbor intervened, striking Hiner in the head and splitting her eyebrow, Powell said.
Hiner was transported to Sutter Davis Hospital where she received stitches to her eyebrow. She was given a notice to appear in court and placed under a mental health hold, Powell said.
The neighbor who struck her was not charged as he was intervening to protect the victim, police said.
