A 20-year-old man was arrested for hit-and-run early Saturday morning after allegedly driving his car into the side of the Del Taco restaurant on Research Park Drive in South Davis and then leaving the scene.
Davis police were called to the restaurant at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, where they found a blue Honda Civic with moderate damage to its front end and moderate damage to the east wall of the building where the car had struck, according to Davis police Sgt. Dan Powell.
There was no driver on the scene, but Sun Ho Yu of Sunnyvale later was found in the nearby parking lot of the Holiday Inn, where he told officers he had struck the building with his car while trying to park, Powell said. He was arrested and charged with hit and run.
