The Davis Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a fence and two structures early Sunday morning.
Capt. Ron Zoghbi said the fire broke out at about 3:15 a.m. along the fence line between the Anderson Place Apartments, 1850 Hanover Drive, and properties in the 1700 block of Redwood Lane located to the east.
The blaze caused moderate damage to a granny flat, neighboring woodshed, a power pole and some vegetation before being extinguished by city and UC Davis fire crews.
Damage to the structures was estimated at between $10,000 and $20,000, Zoghbi said. No injuries were reported or evacuations required.
