Investigators have identified Antwain Howard, 33, of Woodland, as the suspect in the attack, which occurred at about 3:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Bourn Drive, Sgt. Brett Hancock said. He is alleged to have stabbed the 37-year-old victim during an altercation, the nature of which was not specified.
Howard was described as a black male wearing a black T-shirt and gray pants at the time of the assault, and witnesses reported that he fled the scene as a passenger in a brown or gold sport-utility vehicle driven by a black female adult.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Woodland police at 530-666-2411.
Hancock said Howard faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation, and also is wanted of a felony warrant for fase imprisonment.
