UC Davis police issued a weekend crime alert regarding a sexual battery incident that occurred on campus early Sunday morning.
According to police, the female victim met the suspect at a Davis restaurant Saturday night and the couple were walking in the 600 block of Putah Creek Lodge Drive when the suspect began to sexually assault the woman.
The victim was able to fight off the attack and report the incident, police said. They searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.
He is described as a white male with a medium build, glasses and dirty blond hair worn in a small bun. He wore jeans and a blue shirt at the time of the incident.
