Emergency personnel in Davis responded to a fatal collision involving a freight train and a pedestrian early this morning.
Davis fire Capt. Brian Lynch said the incident occurred at 12:43 a.m. along Second Street between Mace Boulevard and the Pole Line Road overcrossing.
“We confirmed there was one person, a male, that had been hit by the train and was deceased,” Lynch said.
The man’s name was not released pending positive identification by the Yolo County coroner’s office. The incident remains under investigation.
