During a busy, blue moon weekend for officers, three men in three separate incidents were arrested downtown for alleged battery.
Jeromey Ng, 27, was arrested at 8 p.m. Friday downtown for alleged battery, battery of an officer, and resisting arrest. Ng was drunkenly biking downtown and punching people from his bike, Sgt. Dan Powell said. Reports state at least four victims. Upon attempting to arrest Ng, he spit at and kicked officers’ knees to resist arrest, Powell said.
Familiar with Ng as a well-known transient in town, Powell said the crime also occurred while Ng was on bail for a previous arrest for burglary.
Jamal Mason, a 24-year-old from Vacaville, was arrested at 2 a.m. Friday for alleged battery against a group of women at Third and H streets. Mason allegedly began punching the victim repeatedly, including inflicting blows to the face before an arrest was made. The victim stated that she did not know Mason nor why he was attacking her, Powell said.
Joseph Barajas-Ramirez, a 22-year-old from Fairfield, allegedly attacked an employee at KetMoRee while getting kicked out of the restaurant around 12:50 a.m. Friday. The employee did not sustain any injuries. Barajas-Ramirez was booked in the Yolo County Jail.
