Davis police are investigating the apparent weekend abuse of a Future Farmers of America pig on the Davis High School campus.
Lt. Ton Phan said a Davis High teacher arrived at the campus on Sunday morning to discover the pig had been beaten sometime during the night, suffering several open-wound abrasions to its backside. No other animals were injured.
All gates to the livestock area had been locked both before and after the incident, Phan said. Responding officers took photographs of the injuries and canvassed the area for evidence, but no suspect or suspects have been identified.
