Davis police arrested a 31-year-old Winters man Saturday night after he allegedly robbed another man at gunpoint.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said officers were summoned shortly before 10 p.m. to the parking lot of The Marketplace shopping center on West Covell Boulevard, where the victim reported being robbed while sitting in his vehicle. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property, then fled the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect running westbound on Covell, where officers spotted a man matching the suspect’s description near on John Jones Road, Glasgow said. Allen Charles Foster was lodged at the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of robbery and providing false information to a peace officer.
The gun and the victim’s property were recovered during the arrest, Glasgow said.
