Yolo County coroner’s officials identified the man killed in a train-versus-car collision late Tuesday night as Ernesto Arango, 54, of Davis.
Arango was in a vehicle that was struck by the Union Pacific freight train at about 11:45 p.m. at County Roads 105 and 32A, just east of Davis. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His cause and manner of death have not been released pending an autopsy, Chief Deputy Coroner Gina Moya said. Rail traffic was delayed for several hours while authorities investigated the crash scene.
