A man died late Tuesday night when a freight train struck his vehicle east of Davis, Yolo County sheriff’s officials said.
The collision occurred close to midnight at County Roads 105 and 32A. Sheriff’s Capt. Dale Johnson said California Highway Patrol officers initially responded to the scene and discovered a male adult had died in the wreck, prompting the sheriff/coroner’s office to take over the scene.
The man’s name had not been released as of this morning pending notification of next of kin.
