Davis police are investigating two robberies that were reported over the weekend.
A man called police Saturday morning to report that he was robbed at knifepoint sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. Friday in a Third Street alleyway. He described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 18 and 25 years old, about 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, with brown hair and wearing a red T-shirt. His cell phone was taken in the incident.
At about 4 a.m. Sunday, a man reported being pistol-whipped and robbed in the area of A Street and Rice Lane. The victim described his assailants as black or Hispanic males in their early 20s, both about 5-foot-6 and 140 to 160 pounds and wearing hooded sweatshirts. He also believed the pistol to be a toy or prop gun, police said.
