A former Woodland firefighter accused of embezzlement resolved his case with a plea deal Wednesday.
Dominic Norman, 41, of Vacaville, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor embezzlement charge. He was sentenced to three years of probation and 80 hours of community service, and ordered to pay $825 in restitution, according to the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office.
Woodland police arrested Norman in November on suspicion of using a city-issued credit card for personal expenditures. He had worked for the city’s Fire Department since January 2006 and resigned in early October, prior to his arrest.
