UC Davis police have released surveillance photographs of the suspect in a Jan. 9 sexual assault attempt on campus.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid-20s, 5-foot-9 with a medium build, short blond or light brown hair, brown eyes, facial acne and a pointed nose. He wore a dark coat over a light-colored button-down shirt and had diamond stud earrings.
Police said the incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 9, about an hour after the female victim met the suspect in downtown Davis. As they walked back to campus on the bike path near Kerr Hall, the suspect attempted to sexually assault the woman, who was able flee and report the incident.
