Woodland police are seeking the suspect in a daylight assault at a Cottonwood Street park.
Sgt. Brett Hancock said officers were dispatched at 10:50 a.m. Monday to Woodside Park, 1615 Cottonwood St., regarding a possible stabbing. They arrived to find a 29-year-old Sacramento man with a superficial wound to his neck.
The man did not require first aid but reported that a known male both physically attacked him and tried to run him down with a vehicle before fleeing the scene, Hancock said. Although many other people were at the park at the time, no other injuries were reported.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-661-7800.
