Woodland police are seeking a suspect who robbed a Cash for Gold employee of her purse Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Steve Guthrie said the woman was unlocking the front door of the business at 78 W. Court St. shortly after 10:30 a.m. when she felt someone grabbing her purse. She turned to find a man brandishing a black handgun at her while demanding the purse and its contents.
Guthrie described the suspect as a male adult of unknown race, due to a black hooded sweatshirt and scarf that concealed his identity. He stood about 5-foot-9 with a medium build and was last seen running eastbound on West Elliot Street.
