The Davis Police Department is seeking witnesses to a shooting incident that occurred Monday morning in South Davis.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said officers were dispatched at about 4:30 a.m. to the 1600 block of Drew Circle “after receiving multiple reports of what sounded like a gun being discharged in the area of a large apartment complex.”
Wei Gin Lee, 20, of Davis, was taken into custody after officers determined that he had shot about seven bullets into the air, according to Glasgow. He was lodged at the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of reckless discharge of firearm, a felony.
Police searched the area for possible injuries or damage from the incident but found none, Glasgow said. Anyone who witnessed this incident is urged to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
