A sobriety checkpoint Friday east of Woodland resulted in one drunken-driving arrest and six citations for improperly licensed drivers, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.
Officer Bryan Konvalin said 117 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint at Old River Road at County Road 117 during a four-hour period. Eleven drivers underwent field sobriety tests, with one — 21-year-old Jacob Daniel Snethen of West Sacramento — arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Six other motorists either had no license, or their licenses were suspended, Konvalin said. The CHP also impounded three vehicles.
Funding for the checkpoint program was provided from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the Nation Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
