A man suffered injuries to his legs — possibly fracturing them — after falling from the Yolo Causeway east of Davis on Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol Officer Cindy Leal said the man, believed to be in his early 30s but whose identity was not released Monday, was crossing the bridge on foot when he fell into the bypass area at about 6:45 a.m. He was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
The slow lane of eastbound Interstate 80 near Enterprise Boulevard was closed for about 45 minutes during the rescue effort, which included Davis and West Sacramento firefighters and an ambulance crew.
