California Highway Patrol officers say a Woodland man was under the influence of alcohol when he sideswiped one car and rear-ended another Saturday night on Highway 113 between Davis and Woodland.
Pablo Sanabria, 22, was jailed on suspicion of felony drunken-driving and misdemeanor hit-and-run following the incidents, which occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on the highway’s northbound lanes. According to the CHP, Sanabria was driving at a high rate of speed, sideswiping one car after that driver veered onto the shoulder to avoid being rear-ended.
As he allegedly fled from that crash, Sanabria reportedly rear-ended a second car whose passengers included a pregnant woman and a 13-year-old boy, causing injuries ranging from minor to major, according to the CHP. Neither Sanabria nor the driver of the first car were hurt.
