A man wanted for violating his parole allegedly added to his problems Tuesday by leading police on a pursuit from Woodland to Knights Landing in a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Davis, according to the Woodland Police Department.

Quentin Michael Ray Lee, 26, was wanted by the Yolo County Probation Department when an officer spotted him shortly before 11 a.m. in the area of Tide Court and Pioneer Avenue, Sgt. Frank Ritter said. The officer ran a DMV check on the Lexus Lee was driving and discovered its Davis owner had reported its theft the day before.

Officers initiated a vehicle stop on the Lexus on County Road 102 north of Woodland, but Lee allegedly kept driving north to the Knights Landing draw bridge, where he jumped out of the car and into the Sacramento River, Ritter said. He was apprehended after swimming to the river bank a short distance downstream.

Lee was lodged at the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of felony evasion, felony theft of a vehicle and resisting arrest, as well as the no-bail parole violation warrant, Ritter said. The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.
