Davis police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a homeless camp along F Street north of Covell Boulevard over the weekend.
The victim called police shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday to report that the suspect had attempted to light his belongings on fire during an argument, left the scene, then returned with a golf club that he swung several times at the victim’s head, Lt. Art Camacho said. The suspect then left with a women’s crosstrek bike that had been in the victim’s possession.
Camacho described the suspect as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and long blond hair. He was last seen walking the bike north on F Street wearing jeans, a gray flannel shirt and an orange backpack.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
