A probation search led to the arrest of a Dunnigan man on weapon charges last week, the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
Trayon Finley, 24, was taken into custody Nov. 25 after probation officers searching his room discovered a loaded .38-caliber revolver hidden inside a bag of breakfast cereal, sheriff’s officials said in a Facebook post. A check of the serial number revealed the gun had been reported stolen out of Redmond, Ore.
Finley, already on post-release community supervision in Yolo County, was booked into the Yolo County jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a stolen firearm and a probation violation, officials said.
