Cops seek suspects in Davis burglary video; shots fired at Yolo pot farm

Davis police released surveillance video this week of two suspects breaking into a local cannabis dispensary, with the hope that someone will recognize the perpetrators.

The suspects, both male, are seen smashing the front window of Kind Farma, 946 Olive Drive, with a yellow crowbar before briefly entering the business at about 2:30 a.m. Monday. They fled the scene in a black or gray older-model sport-utility vehicle.

Police described them as a white male in his mid-20s with a tall, slim build, and a Black male in his late 20s or early 30s with an average build and a short-cropped beard.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects or has other information about the case is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400 and refer to case number 20-04745.

Meanwhile, the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for four suspects who unlawfully entered a marijuana site at about 1 p.m. Sunday several miles west of Woodland, where they cut a fence to gain access to the property.

At about 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, four people entered a licensed marijuana site located several miles west of the city of Woodland, cutting a fence to access the property.

“Two armed security guards spotted the subjects and as they approached, all four fled back to their vehicle,” sheriff’s officials said in a Facebook post. “Prior to fleeing the scene, one of the subjects fired two rounds from a handgun in the direction of the security guards.”

Two of the suspects were described as Hispanic men, around 5 feet, 8 inches tall. One had a medium to heavy build and wore a red T-shirt and basketball shorts, while the other had a medium build, dark hair and wore a white T-shirt and jeans. They fled in a black sport-utility vehicle, possibly a BMW or Mercedes.
