Woodland police are investigating a pair of shootings that occurred just minutes apart on the evening of Aug. 7, the agency reported Friday.
The first occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the area of East Kentucky and Pioneer avenues, where witnesses reported hearing four to five gunshots. A short time later, a shooting victim arrived at Woodland Memorial Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury and was uncooperative with police, Sgt. Dallas Hyde said.
A second shooting was reported at 7:47 p.m. that night in the area of West Lincoln Avenue and Community Lane, Hyde said. A victim later called police to report that he and two passengers were shot at in their vehicle while leaving the apartment complex at 505 Community Lane.
The suspect, who may have been on foot, has not been identified. Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact the Woodland Police Department at 530-666-2411.
