A man who allegedly brandished what turned out to be a fake gun outside a local homeless shelter last week has been taken into custody, Davis police said Tuesday.
Blaze Alexander Henderson was arrested shortly after 11 a.m. Monday — four days after witnesses reported he brandished what appeared to be a pistol from his waistband and threatened to kill another man during an altercation Thursday in the front yard of the 1111 H St. shelter.
The suspect fled after the victim and a bystander subdued and disarmed him, but investigators learned his identity and obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of brandishing a firearm replica and making criminal threats, Lt. Art Camacho said.
Henderson, a 31-year-old Davis resident, was arrested by officers who encountered him Monday at the parking structure at First and F streets, Camacho said. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail.
