Davis police have identified a suspect in last week’s armed robbery of a woman and are seeking the public’s help in tracking him down.
Eric Paul Rodriguez, 25, is wanted in connection with the Oct. 5 robbery, which occurred at about midnight in the area of Sycamore Lane and Villanova Drive. The woman reported being robbed of her belongings at gunpoint, after which the suspect fled in a silver-colored coupe with a passenger inside.
“A vehicle matching that description was stopped nearby and the driver, Rodriguez, fled before he could be arrested,” Davis police reported on social media Friday. “The gun used in the robbery was recovered along with the vehicle that was abandoned a few blocks away. It is not known whether Rodriguez has additional weapons.”
Police have since obtained a warrant for Rodriguez’s arrest on felony robbery and weapons charges. He has additional warrants for his arrest as well.
Rodriguez’s whereabouts are currently unknown, though police say he has connections to both Woodland and West Sacramento. Anyone with information about his location is urged to the contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400 or 911 if he is seen.
