A West Sacramento woman was killed Friday in a three-car collision on Interstate 80 just west of Davis, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 6:10 p.m. when an eastbound Jeep Compass approaching slowing traffic near Highway 113 rear-ended a Nissan Kicks, which then rear-ended a Ford F150 truck. The driver of the Nissan sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene despite a passing motorist’s attempt at administering CPR.
Solano County coroner’s officials identified the woman as Wanda Ellithorpe-Fletcher, 64. The Jeep driver was treated for minor injuries from the crash, while the Ford driver escaped unhurt.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the collision, the CHP reported.
