A Friday night crash on Chiles Road led to a Dixon man’s arrest on multiple drug-related charges, the Davis Police Department reported Monday.
According to a police Facebook post, dispatchers received a report at about 7:30 p.m. of an erratic Nissan driver on Russell Boulevard near California Street. A second report came in 15 minutes later, describing a similar vehicle that had collided with a parked car on Chiles Road near Ensenada Drive.
Officers responded to the scene and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Oscar Delatorre, on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said. A subsequent search of his car “netted an amount of suspected methamphetamine consisted with trafficking, over 80 Xanax pills and a digital scale,” the Facebook post says. “An undisclosed amount of cash and a methamphetamine pipe were also located.”
Delatorre was booked into the Yolo County Jail on the DUI charge as well as counts of possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license, online arrest records show.
