A 22-year-old Rancho Cordova man was jailed on elder-abuse charges last week following a confrontation with his grandfather in Davis, police said.
Officers were dispatched at about 4 a.m. Thursday to reports of a physical dispute in the 600 block of G Street between the suspect, identified as Tyler John Carlson, and his 69-year-old grandfather, according to Davis police Lt. Art Camacho.
“After an investigation, it was found that Carlson was suspected of having physically assaulted his grandfather after a verbal argument between the two parties had escalated,” Camacho said, adding that the argument stemmed from Carlson’s repeated refusals to leave the residence.
Camacho said the victim sustained visible, minor injuries during the fight. Carlson was booked at the Yolo County Jail on the elder-abuse charge.
