Davis police arrested a woman on assault and domestic violence charges Tuesday after she allegedly tried to strike her girlfriend with her car.
Allegra Deshonna James got into an argument with the other woman regarding their relationship at about 11:15 a.m. on K Street, Lt. Art Camacho said. Initially, James drove away in her car following the incident.
“As the victim began to walk away, the girlfriend returned, drove onto the sidewalk and toward victim,” Camacho said. “The victim was able to jump out of the way before getting struck.”
Officers were called to the scene and arrested James, 19, without incident, Camacho said.
