A woman was injured Tuesday evening when a suspect tried to rob her on L Street, Davis police said.
According to Lt. Art Camacho, the woman was riding her bicycle down the street at about 6:10 p.m. when the suspect, also on a bike, tried to steal her purse as she rode by. While she was able to hold on to her purse, she fell off her bike and struck her head.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene and sought additional medical aid on her own, Camacho said. The suspect, who remains at large, is described as a heavyset Hispanic male with curly hair, wearing a dark-colored shirt and riding a yellow bike.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
