Davis police are investigating a second hate incident to occur on the Davis High School campus in less than two weeks.
Lt. Paul Doroshov said school staff discovered racist graffiti Tuesday in a boys bathroom on the West 14th Street campus.
“The phrase, written on the wall, contained the ‘N’-word,” Doroshov said. “The comment was immediately removed by school staff. The Davis Police Department has classified this event as a hate incident and is actively investigating any leads.”
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Police Department at 530-747-5400.
Doroshov said it’s unknown whether the graffiti has any connection to last week’s incident in which someone drew a swastika and “Sieg Heil” on campus and digitally sent the school a swastika image via the STOPit app for anonymously reporting bullying incidents.
