A 22-year-old Davis man took his own life in the Davis Cemetery over the weekend, Davis police and Yolo County coroner’s officials reported.
Lt. Paul Doroshov said police were summoned at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a person hanging from a tree in the Pole Line Road cemetery’s arboretum area. Officers began administering CPR and medical personnel also arrived on scene, but the man could not be revived.
“Officers investigated the situation and determined there were no indications that anyone else was involved in the death,” Doroshov said, adding that the coroner’s office is continuing its investigation.
