After a motorcyclist in Woodland struck the side of a pickup truck on Friday at 6:15 p.m., the driver of the pickup fled the scene, leaving the injured motorcyclist.

Woodland Police officers responded to the intersection of Court and East streets after a report of the collision. Upon arrival, officers learned that a Dodge pickup truck turned in front of a southbound motorcyclist. The motorcyclist struck the side of the pickup truck, which fled.

A passerby followed the Dodge pickup to an address in the 100 block of College Street. At the residence, officers contacted 45-year-old Woodland resident Lucia Camarena. Camarena was positively identified as the driver of the truck; she was arrested for felony hit and run and booked at the Yolo County Jail.

The motorcyclist was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center by ambulance and reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses to the collision are encouraged to contact the Woodland Police Department at 530-666-2411.
