A Davis man died Wednesday after being found in a residential swimming pool, authorities said.
The Yolo County Coroner’s Office identified him Thursday as Ronald Kukulka, 74.
Davis Fire Department Capt. Bobby Weist said firefighters were dispatched shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday to the home on Glenn Place in West Davis “for a person face-down in a swimming pool.”
The crew members pulled the man from the water but were unable to revive, him, Weist said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the death was the result of drowning or a medical event, authorities said. Coroner’s officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before ruling on Kukulka’s cause of death, Chief Deputy Coroner Gina Moya said.
