WOODLAND — Jurors in the trial of Steven Hendrix, who is accused of causing a fatal collision on Second Street in Davis on Feb. 24, 2016, ended another day of deliberations Friday without reaching a verdict.
Hendrix, 33, is charged with second-degree murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI causing injury and child endangerment in connection with the high-speed crash, which killed 71-year-old Cynthia Jonasen of Davis. Two women and four children in Hendrix’s vehicle also were hurt.
The jury received the case late Wednesday afternoon after three weeks of testimony and a day of closing arguments. Their deliberations will resume Tuesday morning.
